AI policy

EffectiveAugust 12, 2026

Skaico may offer optional AI-assisted features in our products and use AI in internal tooling to support operations, content workflows, and product development. This AI Policy explains how those capabilities work, what data they use, and the limits you should expect.

1. Scope

This policy applies to AI-assisted capabilities in Skaico products and related customer-facing services, including assistants, analysis suggestions, and similar features where offered.

It also describes how Skaico uses AI internally to draft public website content, product documentation, and related published material, and how we label that copy for readers. End-user access to AI features depends on the specific Service and your plan.

This policy supplements our Privacy policy.

2. What the AI features do

In our products, AI features generate text, suggestions, or structured responses based on prompts and context you provide or that the Service supplies for a specific task (for example summarizing content you select, answering a product question, or helping you review material you submit).

AI output is meant to support your judgment. It is not professional advice of any kind and is not a substitute for your own review, policies, or obligations.

3. What data is sent to AI providers

When you use an AI feature, Skaico may send relevant context to an LLM provider configured for that feature. Depending on the feature, context may include:

  • The prompt or message you submit
  • Selected content needed to complete the task (for example an excerpt, record, note, or configuration detail)
  • Product metadata required for the request (for example feature name or formatting instructions)

We design features to send the minimum context needed for the task. You should avoid submitting information you do not want processed for that request.

4. Model providers and configuration

Skaico may use cloud LLM providers and, in some deployments, locally hosted models. The provider used for a given feature depends on product configuration and your subscription tier where applicable.

Provider processing is governed by the provider's terms and privacy practices in addition to this policy. We select providers and configurations with security and data handling requirements appropriate for the Service involved.

5. Training and retention

We do not use your stored product content to train public foundation models. LLM providers process requests to deliver the feature you invoked. Retention by providers, where applicable, follows their policies and our agreements with them.

Skaico may retain prompts, responses, and usage metadata needed to operate the feature, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and provide support. Operational logs are handled under our Privacy Policy.

6. Internal and published content

Skaico may use AI to draft or revise public website copy, documentation, and related published material. That work is reviewed by people before publication where it represents Skaico to customers or the public. Published pages may indicate when copy was produced with AI assistance.

7. Human review and your responsibilities

You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it. AI responses can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Do not treat generated content as guaranteed factual, compliant, or suitable for important decisions.

Use AI suggestions as input to your process, not as automatic instructions.

8. Availability and limits

AI features may be unavailable during outages, model changes, or usage limits tied to your plan. We may throttle or suspend AI access to protect service stability or prevent abuse.

Some features allow you to choose among available models where your plan supports it. Model availability may change over time.

9. Prohibited uses

Do not use AI features to:

  • Attempt to extract secrets, credentials, or other users' data
  • Generate content that violates law or third-party rights
  • Automate harmful, unauthorized, or abusive activity
  • Circumvent product safeguards or usage limits

We may restrict or terminate access for misuse.

10. Changes to this AI policy

We may update this AI Policy as our features and providers evolve. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.

11. How to contact us

Questions about AI features or this policy can be sent to privacy@skaico.com or through the support channel provided in the Service you use.
